Featured Webinar Program:

The Why, What, and How of Student Organizing
Presented by: Tiffany Blassingame

Are you curious about student organizing? Has a client approached you about how to help their child get and stay organized at school? Are you considering offering student organizing as a service for your clients? Join Tiffany as she shares strategies for supporting the executive function skills of students at home and school. Participants will examine brain research about elementary, middle, and high schools and engage in discussions about supporting their work habits based on this research. Participants will leave with tools and resources to use with elementary, middle, and high school students and their families.

This session is designed to help professional organizers gain a better understanding of supporting elementary, middle, and high school students at home and school. Professional organizers will learn about the neuroscience behind executive function skills, what these skills look like at home and at school, and specific tools and strategies to engage students so that they strengthen these skills. They will also leave with resources for families to help them coach their child to become a stronger and more productive student.

Key Takeaways from this program:

  • Gain a clear understanding of why students today need organizing help and how professional organizers can be a support for them
  • Become familiar with the various ways of engaging directly with students (elementary, middle, high school)
  • Learn strategies for supporting families with developing a system to maintain organization and resources to support these families

Tiffany Blassingame started Simple Organization to provide organizing and productivity strategies to help others develop a more organized approach to home, work, and school. As a divorced parent of a teenage son and a school administrator, she understands the delicate balance between raising children, progressing toward personal goals, working in your career, and being a good steward to others and to yourself. It sometimes feels impossible to keep it all together! Simple Organization is designed to offer strategies to help busy adults and their families go from chaos to calm by achieving wellness through organization and productivity. Tiffany’s varied experience as an educator makes it natural for her to specialize in student organization. Her specialties include working with families of elementary, middle, and high school students as well as college students and educators. Her primary areas of interest include work-life harmony, productivity coaching, and divorce recovery.

Tiffany is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) as well as a founding member of the National Association of Black Professional Organizers. She is also a professional organizer with Ebony & Orderly, a collaboration of 6 Black professional organizers in Atlanta. She serves on the NAPO Diversity and Inclusion Task Force and speaks frequently on the topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice on various platforms.
